ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
The EIA/RIMA is required in the Preliminary License phase of undertakings or activities that may cause significant environmental degradation.
Both the EIA - Environmental Impact Study and the RIMA - Environmental Impact Report are multidisciplinary technical documents in order to carry out a complete assessment of the significant environmental impacts that an enterprise causes.
The RIMA will serve as a communication bridge between the EIA, which is strictly technical, and the licensing body and the public involved.
ESG - ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE
ESG refers to the environmental, social and governance practices adopted by a company.
"WHO CARES WINS"
This term emerged from a provocation by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to 50 CEOs of large financial institutions, on how to integrate social, environmental and governance factors in the capital market.
In 2018 PRINCIPIUM was created with this concept in its attributions. As it is a young company, formed by people who care about global development in a sustainable way, we have developed tools that enable the framing of both our services and the companies in which we perform them.
A company that complies with ESG practices understands its negative and positive impacts on society and is able to act on them. It is necessary to minimize the negatives and enhance the positives, as well as to balance the damage already caused.
A company that wants to fit into ESG practices must prioritize the ten principles of the Global Compact and also use tools such as ODS compass, which lists goals to be followed by companies. These goals are:
